○ 20+ years of work experience with architectural offices in Austin, Seattle, and northwest New Mexico. Completed NCARB Intern Development Program and Architectural Registration Exam.


○ Experience in multiple project types including public / governmental facilities, commercial office / tenant finish out, K-12 school facilities, hotel / hospitality, retail tenant finish out, and residential single family / duplex / ADU.


○ Extensive utilization of AutoCad, SketchUp, Excel and Word. Experienced with Newforma and Procore. Utilize cloud-based storage, collaboration applications, including Google Drive, One Drive, GoToMeeting, on multiple platforms and device types, Mac and PC. Currently learning Adobe Creative Suite and Revit, researching BIM energy analysis, and studying LEED-GA.

James Cormier, March 2004 to July 2006:

Clear Creek Residence, Texarkana, Texas – new, 9000 s.f. home, including natatorium, exterior lap pool, rainwater collection, and extensive use of daylighting strategies.

Southill Residence, Austin, Texas – addition and remodel, 6400 s.f. home, utilizing an existing single story house, foundation and stonework, incorporating a second floor addition, new pool, reclaimed and re-milled materials.

East Live Oak Condominiums, Austin, Texas – urban infill, new, six unit townhome, including rainwater collection, native low-water use landscaping, and private yards.


Stanley Architects, November 2000 to February 2004:

Daniel E. Ruiz Branch Library, Austin, Texas – 16000 s.f. facility, incorporating community and youth centered programs, advanced digital communications infrastructure, extensive use of daylighting and shading strategies.

Austin Waldorf School, Gymnasium and Performing Arts Center, Dripping Springs, Texas –Two buildings linked by a covered walkway, combining conventional prefabricated metal building technology with hand-crafted, artisan detailing, accommodating a limited budget and expression of the client’s educational philosophy.

Sustainability Consultant to the Mexican American Community Center, Austin, Texas –site analysis and materials inventory of existing buildings in preparation for LEED certification process.


Cotera, Kolar, Negrete, and Reed Architects, May 2000 to October 2003:

Austin City Hall, Austin Texas – Antoine Predock design architect, LEED Silver facility. Assisted with construction documentation, including weather barrier design, exterior cladding, consultant coordination of MEP and structural engineers, photovoltaic system support structure, window and door specifications / detailing.

Hilton Hotel and 555 Nueces Residences – 34 story, mixed use convention center hotel, residential, and retail facility. Developed designs for cantilevered porte-cochere, main lobby, and pre-convene areas.


William Freimuth Architecture, August 1995 to August 1997:

San Juan County Administration Building, Aztec, New Mexico – 42,000 s.f. government office building, with extensive clerestory daylighting. Developed design for entrance and lobby elements. Managed contract document production, coordination with design team consultants including geo-technical structural, MEP, and roofing. Provided construction administration services from bidding thru final punch-out.

Gateway Museum, Farmington, New Mexico – 23,000 s.f. museum building, site planning, with multiple exhibition configurations, high-bay black box gallery, administration offices, and preservation workshops. Involved with initial planning including access options from adjacent roadways and coordination of bosque riparian trail corridor master plan tie in, environmental analysis coordination.

Drake Running Horse Ranch Residence, Farmington, New Mexico – new 4,800 s.f. home utilizing vernacular strategies for climate control, including building massing, covered porches, transom windows, and evaporative cooling systems.


Nash, Jones, and Associates, August 1992 to May 1995: Medina Residence, Bellevue, Washington – new 7,200 s.f. home, incorporating conventional wood framing with structural steel rigid frame designed for seismic resistance. Coordinated with structural engineer to design exterior cladding and interior millwork elements.

South Shore Condominiums, Newport, Oregon – high density residential buildings in a master planned, mixed use resort community on the Pacific Coast. Site planning, Design Development, and Construction Documents with extensive structural engineering coordination.
