... the sunlit, south-facing side of a plaza or courtyard, where people gather to conduct business, engage in community affairs, and speculate on their own histories




Working individually since mid-2006, on projects providing a broad range of architectural services for residential and small commercial projects, both directly with private clientele, and through collaboration with associated architectural firms. Opportunities for gaining experience on project types including vertical mixed-use, office, retail, and higher density residential development are being sought, with firms active in resource-conscious, environmentally engaged practices.


Design - Project types including new construction, remodeling, and renovation. Furniture, fixtures, and casework


Drafting - Design documentation, construction drawings, visualization utilizing AutoCad, Sketchup, Revit, and Photoshop primarily


Fabrication - primarily steel and wood, in collaboration with Austin-based craftspeople

Kelly Mahan, AIA – Architect, Texas licensed. Working in architecture since 1992, involvement has been among a broad range of projects, with firms in Washington State, New Mexico, and Texas.


Educational background includes B.A. Architecture, 1991, University of New Mexico, and Masters in Architecture, 2000, University of Texas at Austin.
